
Mel is an experienced Clinical Psychologist, CAT (Cognitive Analytic Therapy) Practitioner and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) therapist with a passion for integrating the mind and the body, and working with repeating relationship patterns in therapy. Mel specialises in building trusting relationships with adults who have experienced complicated psychological traumas, as well as those suffering with pain and long-term health conditions, to offer hope in a better future.
In addition to offering one-to-one therapy, Mel enjoys working collaboratively with her colleagues to create innovative team approaches to client care, alongside her experiences in teaching, training and supervising others in psychological approaches. Mel has published her clinical psychology doctoral work and co-authored two book chapters within the area of therapist learning and development. Mel loves to inspire others to believe in themselves, live their best lives and dream big.

Alan is a Clinical Psychologist who is committed to helping people live a full and meaningful life. Alan specialises in working with people who have long-term health conditions such as chronic pain, and is experienced in providing sensitive, compassionate support to people who have experienced complex traumatic events.
When he is not providing individual therapy, Alan enjoys teaching, training, and researching. Alan is a published author in the field of chronic pain and works for a local Clinical Psychology Doctoral Programme where he supports the training and development of future healthcare professionals. Whether it is in the therapy room, the lecture theatre, or just in the corridor, Alan loves helping to get the best out of people so that they can reach their potential.

Catherine joined as Administrator in 2017. She has a broad range of experience in a variety of work settings, but what she enjoys most is interacting with people. Catherine is here as your first point of contact, to answer your calls and preliminary queries, and to assist in the smooth running of Trust Psychology.




Lois is a Clinical Psychologist with experience of working with adults across the lifespan with a wide variety of psychological difficulties. Lois has worked therapeutically with adults with physical health problems, including brain injury and neurological disorders. Common issues that Lois often works with include depression, anxiety, loss, emotional regulation, complex trauma and adjustment to long-term health problems.
Lois is analytically minded, with an interest in helping people to identify and change problematic interpersonal patterns. She has a particular interest in the use of the therapeutic relationship as fundamental in successfully providing a platform for change.
As a Clinical Psychologist, Lois can adopt a broad and integrative approach, drawing on a range of therapeutic models in order to develop a collaborative and individualised understanding of a person's difficulties. Lois’ special interests are mindfulness, the therapeutic value of expertise by experience, Compassion Focused approaches to therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Outside of Trust Psychology, Lois works part-time within the NHS.

Hannah is a Clinical Psychologist with experience of working with adults across the Lifespan, and is motivated and enthusiastic about improving mental health through a person-centred, integrative approach. Common difficulties Hannah often works with include low mood, anxiety, trauma, adjustment to long term health conditions, stress, low self-esteem, sleep difficulties and bereavement.
Hannah’s clinical practice is underpinned by a compassionate approach, drawing on a range of evidence-based psychological approaches to meet the needs of each individual. Her specialist interests are in physical health conditions including pain management, complex trauma and especially the application of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Outside of Trust Psychology, Hannah works part time in the NHS within a Community Pain Management service and has experience in organisational and coaching psychology.

Jenna is a Clinical Psychologist and EMDR Therapist with a particular specialism in working with individuals who have experienced relationship difficulties and complex trauma, including military veterans. Jenna is passionate about empowering individuals to find ways to make positive changes to their lives, and is able to adapt her approach based on a client’s specific needs.
Jenna finds it important to listen to someone’s story and to help them make sense of the difficulties they are facing, with consideration of social, relational, economic and cultural factors. Jenna likes to work collaboratively with clients to decide on the best intervention to suit their needs, often using an integrative approach drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Analytic Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Jenna has published her research on predictors of carer burden in the Journal of Personality Disorders. This research focuses on recognising the role of family members in supporting individuals in distress and considering ways to improve the wellbeing of the family unit.
